The Jane Club is the space of our dreams. We are a matriarchal oasis. We are a room of one’s own. We are a stunning membership based, shared work and social club with on-site, yet separate child care services and luxury lifestyle amenities to support everything a working woman might want and need. We are a space for women, by women. We are a space where mothers are nurtured, kids are safe and all women can find community and self-care.
We are Jane AF.
The original “Jane Club” was founded in Chicago in 1887 by the first woman to ever win the Nobel Peace Prize in Sociology, Jane Addams. She founded and ran Hull House aka The Jane Club, where working women could stay, learn, receive healthcare, childcare and build community. There was a night school for adults, clubs for older children, a public kitchen, an art gallery, a gym, a bathhouse, a library, discussion clubs and a lunchroom. It was a physical space that uplifted women’s minds and bodies. She is our inspiration. May we pick up where she left off.
